Participants on the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin training and internship program will be able to experience unique cultural exchange activities.  As part of your program the property will schedule many employee activities during such as volunteering and team events.  In addition your program experience takes place right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort providing you access to world class theme parks and entertainment experiences. Orlando, Florida, USA is the entertainment capital of the world, a perfect setting your unique cultural experience.

Eligibility Requirements for J-1 Interns

In order to qualify for this particular designation of the J-1 visa you must be:

  • Must be a foreign national who is currently enrolled full-time and pursuing studies in your chosen career field at a degree or certificate granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States


  • Graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to your exchange visitor program start date
  • All participants must possess sufficient proficiency in English to participate on the program

Eligibility Requirements for J-1 Trainees

In order to qualify for this particular designation of the J-1 visa you must be:

  • A foreign national who has either a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution and at least one year of prior related work experience in your occupational field.  This experience must have been acquired outside of the United States


  • Five years of work experience in your occupational field acquired outside the United States
  • All participants must posess sufficient proficiency in English to participate on the program

Participants on the Swan and Dolphin J1 Program will be required to submit the following fees.

Program Fees

12 Month Full Placement Program Fee inclusive of visa sponsorship, medical insurance, support and pre-arranged housing £2,200.00 GBP

  • Criminal Background Check Fee £80.00 GBP
  • U.S. Embassy Appointment Fee £90.00 GBP
  • U.S. SEVIS Fee £105.00 GBP
  • Courier delivery of passport - Free to £30.00 GBP
  • Return flight to the United States - Varies
  • 4 weeks of housing rent to secure apartment

Post-Arrival Fees

  • Additional supporting funds between $350.00 USD to $750.00 USD

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin J-1 Intern and Training Program provides university students and young professionals with the opportunity to train in the United States for a period of up to 12 months. This program provides a unique insight into the business practices that make the properties two of the most sought after hospitality experiences in the United States of America.  The program provides on-the-job training exposure in the following hospitality roles:

  • Culinary Arts
  • Rooms Division

In addition to this unique training experience, participants are able to increase their knowledge of and exposure to American culture, traditions and society.  From the magic of Walt Disney World Resort to the amazing Miami, this program will provide you with cultural exchange experiences as well as training that will set you up for future success in the hospitality industry worldwide.

Program Terms & Conditions

  • Participants must qualify for the J1 Intern or J1 Trainee Visa
  • Participants must be studying or have graduated with a degree in hospitality, tourism or events management
  • Participants must be available for 12 months
  • Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours per week during the program
  • Participants will be provided with housing by Yummy Jobs as part of the program experience
  • Participants must arrive on the program start date as outlined by Yummy Jobs
  • Participants must exit the United States following the program end date
