The Yummy Jobs Team recruit for Food & Beverage Internships at the Cullasaja Country Club, on a 7-month basis.

The Food and Beverage Internship provides exposure to all areas of the food and beverage service. Participants will gain knowledge of member service and hospitality management as these skills relate to the private club industry. During the program, participants will rotate through the following areas:
  • Fine Dining 
  • Casual Dining
  • Seasonal Dining
  • Banquet Service and Events
Service internship provides a first-hand à la carte experience in many different forms of service. The individual will gain full experience with casual, formal, catered events both served and buffet.  The Club is casual to formal in a relaxed and family environment.  Candidates must be strong communicators and enjoy diverse responsibilities. Participants should be enthusiastic about learning and increasing their skill in various food and beverage positions, as the summer progresses.  This internship can set the foundation to return as the Intern Supervisor the following season.
 
Participants will be required to work full-time throughout the program and will be provided with a minimum of 32 hours work each week. Participants will be paid an hourly wage of $12.00 USD per hour. Fully furnished company housing is provided (costs payroll deducted) and participants will be required to share a room.

Participants on the Cullasaja Club training and internship program will be able to experience unique cultural exchange activities.  As part of your program the Cullsaja Club Team will schedule many employee outings during your program.  From trips to nearby Atlanta for baseball games to Six Flags theme parks, the Cullasaja Team ensure you experience the American culture through a mixture of activites that enhance your international experience.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1, YOU MUST:
  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Be available for a 6 or 12-month contract.
​YOU MUST ALSO MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
  • Be currently enrolled in full-time education at a University outside of the United States.
  • Studying towards an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism OR have graduated from these studies no more than 12 months prior to your program start date.
  • Be a graduate from an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism PLUS at least one year of related work experience in this industry. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States. 
  • If you have not studied at University level, you must have at least five-years full time work experience in the industry to qualify. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
  • Applicants will be required to attend a pre-screen interview via video call with a member of the Yummy Jobs Team in order to be considered.​
  • If successful, applicants will be required to attend a final interview with the Cullasaja HR Team via video call.

Participants on the Cullasaja Program will be required to submit the following fees (after acceptance of an offer):
 
PROGRAM FEE
 
£2,850.00 GBP - 7-month full Placement Program Fee inclusive of Visa Sponsorship, Medical Insurance, U.S SEVIS Fee, Pre-arrival Support and Pre-arranged Job.
 
ADDITIONAL FEES FOR 2021
  • U.S. Embassy appointment fee = $160.00 USD
  • Return flight to the United States = Varies
POST ARRIVAL FEES
  • Weekly accommodation costs = Varies (automatic payroll deduction)
  • Additional supporting funds between $350.00 - $750.00 USD are recommended
