This exciting Hospitality Program will allow you to develop your career with Loews Hotels, a leading U.S Hospitality Organisation. Loews Regency currently have opportunites in the following areas, all on a 12-month basis:

  • Rooms Division Operations - rotations through Front Desk Operations, inc. Guest Services, Lobby Concierge and Supervisory Housekeeping
  • Rooms Division - rotations through Front Desk, Guest Services & PBX
  • Culinary Arts - rotations through the various kitchens, including Banqueting, In Room Dining & Restaurants/Main Kitchen
  • Food & Beverage Management Trainee - rotations through In Room Dining, Banqueting & Restaurants

 

Participants will be paid a competitive hourly wage depending upon the position offered. This will be a minimum of $25.00 USD per hour. Participants will be guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours per week, with the potential for overtime during peak seasons. On average, participants can expect to work between 35-40 hours a week.

 All Interns must be aware that they will be responsible for sourcing their own accommodation on this program.

Loews Regency's central downtown location is at the heart of San Francisco, with the city’s major attractions, including Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, and the Ferry Building, all within easy reach. Their position on the top 11 floors of a 48-story tower means that they offer some of the most breathtaking views in San Francisco and the Financial District, from their 148 elegant guestrooms and 7 spacious suites.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1 INTERN, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Be available for a 12-month contract.
  • Be currently enrolled in full-time education at a University outside of the United States.
  • Studying towards an undergraduate degree in a Tourism, Hospitality, Events or Culinary related subject OR have graduated from these studies no more than 12 months prior to your program start date.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1 TRAINEE, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Be available for a 12-month contract.
  • Be a graduate from an undergraduate degree in a Tourism, Hospitality, Events or Culinary related subject PLUS at least one year of related work experience in this industry. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States. 
  • If you have not studied at University level, you must have at least five-years work experience in the tourism/hospitality industry to qualify. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States. 

APPLICATION DATES

  • Applications for the Loews Regency Hotel Program for 2018/2019 are now open!
  • Applicants are required to be available for a full 12-month contract in order to be considered.
  • We currently have start dates available in September and October 2018.​

INTERVIEWING PROCESS

  • Interviews with the Yummy Jobs Team will take place via Skype.
  • Applicants will be required to attend a pre-screen interview via Skype with a member of the Yummy Jobs Team in order to be considered.​
  • If successful, candidates will then be invited to a final interview with a member of the Loews Regency team via Skype.

Participants on the Loews Regency Hotel Program will be required to submit the following fees:

PROGRAM FEE

Rooms Division/Culinary Program = £2,250.00 GBP - 12-month full Placement Program Fee inclusive of Visa Sponsorship, Medical Insurance, Pre-arrival Support and Pre-arranged Job.

Food and Beverage Management Training Program = £2,500.00 GBP - 12-month full Placement Program Fee inclusive of Visa Sponsorship, Medical Insurance, Pre-arrival Support and Pre-arranged Job.

ADDITIONAL FEES FOR 2018

  • Criminal Background Check fee = £85.00 GBP
  • U.S. Embassy appointment fee = $160.00 USD
  • U.S Sevis Fee = $190.00 USD
  • Courier delivery of passport = Free to £30.00 GBP
  • Flights to the United States = £300 to £600 GBP (approximately)

POST ARRIVAL FEES

  • Weekly accommodation costs = Varies (candidates are required to source their own housing)
  • Additional supporting funds between $350.00 - $750.00 USD are recommended
