Annie's Year in the Big Apple!

Taking on the role of Operations Specialist at Convene allowed me to build my up my leadership skills in the Event industry as well as grow with the company as it expands globally which has been incredibly exciting. There is always something new going on in the company as we grow and I feel honored to have earned this opportunity with such an innovative and modern organization.

I knew before I even flew out to NYC that I wanted to plan events and learn more about Convene as an organization. During my first two months with the company, I trained in both Service and Production (4 weeks in each). Here, I learned the ropes for both planning the events and then executing them. Shortly after this, I was promoted to Production Specialist so I now solely plan events.

Convene has been the reason for my growth as a person, a manager and a leader during my Events career. I have planned over 100 events for huge worldwide brands and made so many contacts during my time here. I never thought that I would enjoy working in corporate events as much as I do but I truly love my job here and the team I work with. I will forever class the team I work with as my Convene family! The people and culture within the company is second to none. Every member of the team is made to feel welcome and any problems that arise are faced together, not alone. Every part of me wants to succeed within the company and I can’t wait to grow my future even further with Convene.
