Taking part on a 12 month internship with this 5 Star Luxury Global brand will really expose you to hands-on training on how to provide a true indulgent experience to your guests.
 
Amangiri is a breath-taking 600-acre sanctuary of wilderness and isolation in Canyon Point, Southern Utah which offers guests ultimate personalisation of bespoke adventures and cultural activities. 
 
The modernist Suites of Amangiri and the tented Pavilions of nearby Camp Sarika offer an inspiring welcome to one of the world’s most dramatically secluded settings.   Sustainable, seasonal menus inspired by the culinary heritage of the Navajo and the American Southwest served indoors and alfresco.
 
 
 
At the heart of the Grand Circle region, Amangiri is within easy reach of some of North America’s most magnificent protected areas, including the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and Monument Valley Tribal Park, home of the Navajo Nation. Occupying 243 hectares of this starkly beautiful landscape, Amangiri is as much a gateway to adrenaline-fuelled outdoor adventure as it is to the rich cultural heritage of the Navajo.

This exciting Hospitality Program will allow you to develop your career with Aman Hotels, a world leader in the luxury hotel market.  

  • Food & Beverage Program - rotations  in Food Running, Pool Service, Private Dining, Banqueting.  $7.50. per hour +. service (av. $13.50 per hr)
 
Participants will be guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours per week, with the potential for overtime during peak seasons, which could average at approx 35-40 hours a week.
 
Housing is provided in the local area, $500 monthly all-inclusive rent that is payroll deducted.
A five-minute drive across the desert from Amangiri, Camp Sarika’s collection of 10 elegant and spacious one- and two-bedroom pavilions elevate the wilderness experience to one of peerless comfort and privacy. Complementing the clean lines and natural material palette of Amangiri’s suites, the generously proportioned pavilions each have indoor living and dining areas, as well oversized terraces with fire pits and heated plunge pools.
 
                  
 
Situated on 243 hectares (600 acres) in Canyon Point, Southern Utah, Amangiri is surrounded by some of North America’s most breathtaking scenery
 
 2.5 to 4.5 hours through beautiful scenery to reach the resort. Main departure points are St. George, Flagstaff, Phoenix and Las Vegas, with various routes passing through national parks.
 
Amangiri has consistently won mulitple awards by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine as a Reader's Choice and on the Gold List.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1, YOU MUST:
  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Speak fluent English.
  • Be available for a 6 or 12-month contract.
​YOU MUST ALSO MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
  • Be currently enrolled in full-time education at a University outside of the United States.
  • Studying towards an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism OR have graduated from these studies no more than 12 months prior to your program start date.
  • Be a graduate from an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism PLUS at least one year of related work experience in this industry. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States. 
  • If you have not studied at University level, you must have at least five-years full time work experience in the industry to qualify. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States. 

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Interviews with the Yummy Jobs Team will take place via Skype.
  • Applicants will be required to attend a pre-screen interview via Skype with a member of the Yummy Jobs Team in order to be considered.​
  • If successful, candidates will then be invited to a final interview with a member of the Amangiri team via Skype.

PROGRAM FEE
£2,850.00 GBP - 12-month full Placement Program Fee inclusive of Visa Sponsorship, Medical Insurance, U.S SEVIS Fee, Pre-arrival Support and Pre-arranged Job.
 
ADDITIONAL FEES
  • U.S. Embassy appointment fee = $160.00 USD
  • Flights to the United States = Varies
POST ARRIVAL FEES
  • Weekly accommodation costs = Varies (candidates are required to source their own housing)
  • Additional supporting funds between $350.00 - $750.00 USD are recommended
