The OHM Collection Intern and Training Program provides the opportunity to train to the very highest of standards within these exclusive properties for 12 months. The program provides on-the-job training exposure in the following hospitality roles:
- Food and Beverage
Participants will be paid a competitive hourly wage depending upon position and will be guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours per week, with the potential for overtime during peak seasons. Pre-arranged company housing is provided for the duration of the program.
Ocean House sits high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and is an iconic New England seaside resort. This awarding-winning hotel is the first and only AAA Five Diamond hotel in the state, and is one of only 11 resorts in the world to be awarded a Forbes Triple Five-Star rating for the hotel, spa and restaurant.
Styled as a grand Victorian hotel, Ocean House first opened its doors in 1868, just after the American Civil War. In 2003, the Ocean House underwent major renovations, reopening with a new exterior structure, which replicated the original design, along with more than 5,000 artefacts and furnishing elements that were lovingly salvaged from the historic hotel.
The resort now sits nestled within 13 acres of stunning, oceanfront grounds, and features a 650ft private white-sand beach. The Ocean House is also part of the globally prestigious Relais and Châteaux group, offering exceptional experiences and uncompromising service to every one of its guests.
Weekapaug Inn offers guests an effortless combination of casual comfort and luxurious furnishings, providing the perfect summer home away from home. Part of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group and awarded a Forbes Five-Star rating, Weekapaug Inn is perched on the shore of Quonochontaug Pond, with the Atlantic Ocean just steps beyond.
Originally built in 1899, the historic 35 room inn underwent a $20 million renovation in 2012, and is inspired by classic Cape Cod style, with red cedar shingles on the exterior, and marble-accented bathrooms and feather-top linens.
Weekapaug Inn is a true farm-to-table resort, with offerings highlighting the seasonal, locally harvested produce whilst being inspired by the fare of New England’s costal traditions.
Located just 15 miles outside of Boston, the Inn at Hastings Park is a boutique hotel steeped in history. The hotel is nestled in the heart of Lexington, Massachusetts – a community commonly revered as the birthplace of American liberty due to the historic events of the American Revolution that took place there.
First built in 1888, the Inn is the only Relais & Châteaux establishment in Boston, and features 22 guest rooms and suites, spread across three uniquely appointed buildings. Through the careful preservation of original features, the Inn is the perfect blend of historic heritage and contemporary American chic design.
Established as a resort oasis, the Preserve Sporting Club rests on 3,500 acres of pristine New England woodlands, where guests can enjoy four seasons of world-class outdoor adventure, luxurious accommodations and exceptional dining.
With a focus on nature and sporting activities, the Preserve offers a variety of experiences including fly fishing, zip lining, rock climbing, upland hunting, archery, mountain biking, nature walks, ATVs, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, horseback riding and world class sporting clays. In addition, there is an award-winning 18-hole championship golf course which has been artfully carved from the stunning landscape.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1, YOU MUST:
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Speak fluent English.
- Be available for a 12-month contract.
YOU MUST ALSO MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Be currently enrolled in full-time education at a University outside of the United States.
- Studying towards an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism OR have graduated from these studies no more than 12 months prior to your program start date.
- Be a graduate from an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Leisure or Tourism PLUS at least one year of related work experience in this industry. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States.
- If you have not studied at University level, you must have at least five-years full time work experience in the culinary industry to qualify. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States.
Applications for the OHM Collection Program for 2021 are open.
Applicants are required to be available for a full 12-month contract in order to be considered.
Applicants will be required to attend a pre-screen interview via video call with a member of the Yummy Jobs Team in order to be considered.
If successful, applicants will be required to attend a final interview with the OHM Collection HR Team via video call.

Participants on the OHM Collection Program will be required to submit the following fees (after acceptance of an offer):
£2,850.00 GBP - 12-month full Placement Program Fee inclusive of Visa Sponsorship, Medical Insurance, U.S SEVIS Fee, Pre-arrival Support and Pre-arranged Job.
- U.S. Embassy appointment fee = $160.00 USD
Flights to the United States = Varies
POST ARRIVAL FEES
Weekly accommodation costs = Varies (participants are responsible for sourcing their own housing)
Additional supporting funds between $350.00 - $750.00 USD are recommended
